    By Colonel Brandon

Tom is talking with his neighbor Jill, who has just moved into the house across the street from him. They are standing in front of Jill's door. She has just mentioned that she has three children.

Tom: How old are your three children?
Jill: If you multiply their ages, you get 36.

Tom: That is not enough information for me to determine their ages.
Jill: The sum of their ages is equal to my house number.

Tom: That is still not enough information.
Jill: The oldest plays the piano.

Tom: Oh! Now I know their ages!

How old are her three children?
