What do you think of the current trend towards veganism? Would you ever try it?

Half of me kinda likes the idea but if we all gave up meat the countryside would no longer be full of farm animals, they just wouldn't get born and breed if we didn't eat em...

I couldn't become a vegan; I like bacon sarnies way too much.

Nope. Too set in my ways to change now. Don't believe in mountains of red meat, but a variety of foods.

My son has just become vegan, and it is an absolute non-starter for trying to cook for him - no cheese, milk, butter, not even Lea & Perrins Worcester Sauce wot has anchovies in it. Cuh.

My daughter went through a stage of being a vegetarian for about a year or two. She was quite happy to eat vegetarian fake sausage dogs lolol

I suspect if I cooked for a vegan it'd be a salad with no dressing, bless him your lad must be a total pita to cook for....

There are some vegan dishes that are very good. Although I am not a vegan, I can tell you the food can be delicious. My favorite vegetable soup recipe is vegan, and I just taught a vegan how to make vegan "sausage" using firm tofu, cooked diced mushrooms, stuffing to bind (egg optional) and all the normal sausage spices. Often it is the seasonings we love so much. 😍
